Greetings to all from a new member in SW CO. I'm impressed with the wealth of information and resources available here. I perform all the necessary tasks on my Airstream as opposed to a 5/6 hour drive to a dealer in Albuquerque or Denver for any repairs that may arise. Having been a mechanic, I know the quality of work received is relative to the knowledge, experience and attitude of the technician performing the work on your rig. When RVing the last thing needed is a preventable problem to develope while traveling. I look forward to the benefits members of this forum provide.

Thanks,
Larry Sinclair

Welcome to the Forums, Larry! That's a mighty good combination of Airstream & tow vehicle. You are set for the long haul. Please share stories -- and pictures. We like pictures. I have a pretty good concept about the perfect location for a fantasy photo of my Safari SE -- might take a lifetime to actually get there -- but good!

Welcome, Larry. There's a lot of good info here. As you become familiar with the various systems on your Airstream, you can provide the rest of us with your expertise. I, too, have done numerous minor repairs on my '05 Safari as my dealer is 300 miles away.

Greetings Larry,
Welcome to Airstream Forums.

My name is Jerry and I used to be the membership chairman for the New Mexico WBCCI unit.

Now, about 18 of us are trying to start a new unit, the Four Corners Unit. We have applied to Region 11 for a Charter.

I don't know if you are a current member of WBCCI or not. You can learn more about the proposed new Four Corners Unit, see link below.

Welcome to the forums!
I too was a mechanic, I too avoid the dealer as much as possible. My problem isn't distance, my nearest dealer is about 1 mile. I'm just too cheap to pay the shop rate for something I can do myself.
It sounds like you are pretty dialed with the trailer thing - we can always use more knowledge and experience here. Happy camping,
Dave

PS - I love S/W CO and Northern NM. (Among other places)
