New Member - Hello to everyone!

Just signed on today. My wife and I are seasoned travel trailer campers with 10 years of towing behind us. We've been looking at Airstreams in our area and are getting ready to move up from our old Chateau 25 footer into a new Airstream. Can't decide on the 25 or 28 footer and we're waiting till one particular model and floorplan arrive at our local dealer in February to make the final decision. We just bought a newer truck from a friend who couldn't afford to put gas in it anymore so now we've got a 3/4 ton Chevy with 8.1 Ltr engine and Allison Tranny. What better reason could one have to get a new travel trailer? Looks like this forum is a good place to find answers to any questions I might have. We look forward to hearing from lots of good folks.

Hello and Welcome!

What model A/S are you looking at? We have a 28' CCD and are really happy with it.

We're looking at the 28 Safari SE and waiting to look at the 25 FB....it should be in around Feb 1.....right now I'm leaning toward thte 28 though. My current TT is a 23 foot box on a 26 ft frame.....so anything bigger than 23 in the living space is a nice bump up.

Yes, the 8.1 with 4:10 is an awesome towing machine.
