Hello everyone ! So thrilled to be part of this unique community. We're getting closer to taking the purchase plunge but won't until we have walked through a few more Airstreams and attend the Minneapolis RV Show in FEB. Can anyone answer this? If we wanted to add recliners OR lets say upgrade the kitchen dinette to a pedestal style, are these types of changes possible and offered through AIRSTREAM when we place our order?
Or is the purchasing party responsible to make the upgrades?

I am pretty sure for the right amount of money, one could get anything done by the factory. You might consider a retrofit later on.. If you do, be sure to keep an eye on the location of those things that can't be easily moved like the Water heater, etc. I also plan on putting in electric recliners in my 27FB someday. For now, I will enjoy as-is.

From what I understand (and I may be incorrect) you cannot customize an order but once you have your AS you can schedule work to be done at the factory in Jackson Center, OH at a later date.

I have a 25FB and didn't find the dinette seating very comfortable. So I removed the dinette and the curb side seating. I then made a small folding table to replace the dinette and bought a RV sized wall hugger recliner for seating. Works great for us.

For whatever reason, there does not seem to be a way to customize an order beyond the "stock" options. It's not all that different than a car or truck in that regard. Once upon a time, there were a *lot* more options.
