Glad to meet you. Enjoy your trip to Europe. I hope it is southern Europe and the north would be quite cold and damp.

You're going to love your new Airstream. Delivery may be delayed as the factory is very, very busy. It doesn't take much to make a delay when everything is at capacity. But the wait will be worth it! The Airstream factory was on national news a week ago. The story was about the recovering economy and how a high end travel trailer maker is taking so many orders for expensive trailers. People must feel good about their futures.

Post pictures of your new trailer when you venture out on your first trip. And use these Air Forums for all kinds of information and advice about everything Airstream.

David

Hi David... we stay in Vienna, weather a no issue... interesting info on factory tks... I hope my unit will be built meticuously... Had a very bad experience with a Catalina new sailboat a few years bk... took two years to fix it... swore i would never buy again an USA made product. Here I am again with this purchase... however i read so many good things about it... and this forum is so well made... so it looks good

Hi mbreton. You might enjoy reading about moosetags new 25FB Flying Cloud. He and his wife are expert Airstream travelers. He talks about all the new features of his new trailer, and some things he doesn't like as well as the old one. It might give you some reading while you're on your flight to Europe.

I think most will agree Airstreams are made now better than ever. I own a 66 and a 86 Airstream. I felt the new ones are built better after touring the factory a couple of years ago. It is important to remember they are not as complex as an automobile and are pretty easily repaired should you find a problem or defect. With all the new employees at the factory, it would be pretty easy for someone to forget something. I'm confident your new Airstream will be most excellent.

David

All the Maritimes! My mother's family was from PEI so we've spent a lot of time there over the years.

Congratulations and welcome to the Forums and the Airstream family. Only time my wife and I were in Quebec was the 1967 Worlds Fair, remember those? Road the train from NYC to Quebec and Montreal.

Plan to return sometime with the AS.

Enjoy

Welcome to the gang! Great RV's, Great Forum folks!

I too lived in Montreal during the crazy days of Expo.

Single at the time and just 22 yrs old! I remember buying a season passport and heading to Expo just about every night after work at CN Rail HQ building downtown.

Many a following morning back at work with a bad headache and upset stomach from imbibing just a bit too much in the Western Music Hall, German beer garden or British Pub!

All good fun though!

Brian.
