Hi all,
Names lowell, just joined and thought id say hello. The wife and I just picked up a 73 argosy 26 double. Its in pretty decent shape. Didnt really know the background or history of argosy or airstream when we bought it, just had a buddy with it for sale. I have been slowly testing everything, seems all the gas appliances work fine, got a new auto change over regulator coming and 2 new tanks. Going to move it to try and make room for a spare tire so figured I would upgrade at the same time. The magic chef stove needs clips and grates but works fine. Some of the water lines have been replaced, as well as the city water connection so thats kool. Had to replace the toilet but wasnt to bad, ended up taking out the hidden compartment behind the toilet. Electrical works fine. Got a new converter and batteries coming. Led lights all over the place to help lower consumption a bit. Other than that the unit is good to go. Just did a good cleaning and minor maintainance. These forums have already been a great knowledge resource. I look forward to sharing our adventures with the group.
Ps if anyone know where to get grate/clips let me know.
Happy trails

Howdy, Lowell!

And welcome to Airforums.com!

Lots of good info and discussions on here to read, much good experience to find, when you find that you need some. Just ask!

Looks like somehow you posted the same photo several times there, but you'll learn by trying, just like we all did here.

We are all looking forward to seeing more photos, and hearing of your experiences in updating your trailer.

Often the first advice given to new members here is to go all over the trailer with a fine-toothed comb and look for leaks. Be careful not to use silicon caulking to cure them. Look around windows, seams in the aluminum, and around the roof openings for plumbing vents. Water is the #1 enemy of your interior. Be sure to read up on what is the most popular caulking so you don't have to do it twice.

See you 'down the road'!

I looked at your links again, and now for some reason they are all dead. The message is "Invalid Attachment specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator".

Have quick read through Janet's wonderful "Forums 101" section to get a quick handle on posting. This link in particular should lead you to post number 7 in the thread, and deals with posting photo. In short, usually you have to use the Forum's tools forposting photos.

Unfortunately, it still seems simpler to use a Mac or PC to do things rather than a portable device such as a cellphone. There is an app for the Forums, perhaps it would give you better results..?
