New Member assistance needed

Dear Forum Members;

I am a new member and I am in the market for my first Airstream. We are looking for a 70's model, 25-31'. We are experienced RVer's but would like an experienced Airstream person to give us some advice on what to look for, what is good, what is bad, what to stay away from, etc.

If there is anyone in the Knoxville, TN area willing to call me and spend a few minutes with me on the phone, it would be greatly appreciated. PM me for contact info. Many thanks.

Jim Marsh

Jim,
A little general Internet advice. Do not put your Email and Phone number is a place where it ca nbe searched. Reserved these for Private messages. Spam will start flowing and now someone can easily get your home address and knows you like to travel.

Edit from Janet: Thanks for noticing this - I removed the info from the earlier post.

70's units with rear baths were notorious for having rear end seperation from what I understand. This is where the shell actually pulls away from the plywood. Do a search for rear seperation and you'll get some detailed info on the problem.
