Hi Everyone. Just recently purchased a '73
sovereign as my next project/passion. I'm turning into a bit of a restorer collector (me happy, wife not) of iconic vehicles that are used by our family. Last one was a '62 Chris Craft. I tried to go older in the Airstreams, but I'm looking more for a renovation than restoration this time around, so the exterior style and details weren't as critical. I did want a fantail so badly though....
I intend to modernize the trailer, structurally and featurewise, without losing her classic lines and identity. So far, She's been completely gutted inside and all of those typical early 70's issues came out to greet me. I'm excited for the journey however. If I can get through the boat, this can't be worse.
I see there are quite a few near where I live. Hoping there's a local network of folks to bend ears with about this kind of stuff!
