I've owned my Airstream almost a year now and finally got around to becoming a member!
The 29 ft.Ambassador is the first camper I have ever owned. I had no experience whatsoever with campers so this was quite a leap for me.
Fortunately, everything (except the furnace) was in good working order. I spent most of last summer polishing and camped 4 or 5 times at a state park near my hometown. I scarcely had much time for enjoyment as people stopped constantly to ask about and view my trailer. I told them what I knew, which wasn't much and almost everyone had a friend or family member who at one time or another "had an Airstream".
Anyway, this is a slow time of year at work for me so I decided to take care of some much needed minor interior work...tambour doors, a couple of screens etc. I will post questions about these later and I am in need of a new airconditioner shroud and weather seal/door gasket. It seems that many or most parts are available only from a dealer but I will ask about this later also.

Welcome! Sounds like you have a great trailer to camp in and tinker with. It's nice to have one that you can use WHILE you work on it.

So much info is available here. As a suggestion that we always give, learn to use the search function in the blue bar above. Most questions can be answered there, if not just post.

If you have any photos, we're always interested in seeing them.

Nice to have another new member!
