I've been R.Ving for about 40 year in the small 18' Shasta's to start in 1963, and eventually larger pull trailers, then 5th wheels, then Class C's, then Class A's, back to 34" Alfa Gold 5th wheel, and now to a Large Lance camper so I can pull my boat to whatever fishing I may do, but recently decided to purchase an Airstream for a little more luxury in my advanced age. It's not easy to climb up in a camper bed anymore. Soooo I found this site in doing reseach on trying to find a slighly used 25-28 foot airstream----so here I am. Looking forward to chats when I find a nice airstream. In the mean time, I'm looking for one and could use all advise from those who have been their and done it. I'll give my self several months to find a nice used unit, otherwise to the Oregon dealer and buy a new one.

I live in Umpqua, Oregon, right on the Umpqua river.

Welcome Wilbur! Once you get your Airstream, be sure to check out a northwest area forum rally - they're a blast. Looking forward to seeing you on the road one day -

Welcome. You've got way too many Umpqua's in Oregon and they are all over the place! I assume you're just west of I-5, not over on the beach. Yes, just checked a map and you're also near the junction of the Calapooya River.

If you read this forum long enough, you'd be surprised how many vintage Airstreams people find and 'recover' from the moldand damp of the great Northwest. Is UWE's great work being done on one of those? Can't remember.

You live near two great places in the world--Bandon Beach and Shore Acres state park. I get through there now and then. Hope you get your Airstream before my next trip, I'd like to stop by and see it.

Hello! We finally located and purchased an Overlander '64 and have started the repair process. We have had plenty project toys but no RV. Hopefully... the winter will be good to us and we will be ready by late spring. We live in Knoxville, Tennesse.
