Greetings! I have collected information about Airstreams and dreamed about ownership for over nearly 35 years. I have kept a picture of a small Airstream nestled in a sandy spot near the ocean framed beside my favorite reading chair for almost 15 years. This year through the generosity and kindness of the universe, I have a 1975 Airstream Safari. It is my hope to renovate it over the next few years with the idea that one day I will in fact retire to it as a permanent home.

I would love to connect with others that have renovated on a shoestring budget and enthusiastically found life in their Airstream.

Welcome to the forum and what I consider to be the biggest resource of 'Stream renovation. I suggest you spend some time playing with the 'search' function, it will help you find all sorts of cool folks who have done what you are looking to do. Start your own thread about your project and post lots of photos!

Welcome to the forum! We've been here three years. We came for the technical know how and stayed for the people and the rallies and the inspiration and the fun. Airstream ownership has been a gateway to so much more than we'd expected.
