New lookiloo

I'm starting to look around for and at Airstreams...no decisions yet. Just a lookiloo. But someday....maybe soon, maybe not...I'll have to make a decision to buy...new or used...big or small...and I figure I'll let all of you educate me before I jump in the water. I won't be a-sayin' much...'cause I'm too dumb at this point...oh, I'll ask a question or two so expect them to be real whoppers.
Just so you know, I care for my elderly mother...she's still in good shape but needs someone with her all the time now as of three years ago...I gave up my work to do the family thing here 'cause I didn't want her in a nursing home.
I envy the freedom y'all have...I'm feelin' a bit confined...yet, still glad I have my mom. At 54, divorced and yet not quite free..kids all grown...I'm dreamin' of the day. Thanks for your information and stories of the road. My nickname ought to be "Spongebear"....I'm soakin' it all up.
