New kid on the block

Its been about 20 years since I owned an RV (5th wheel Teton) and I just miss being able to get away from time to time. Always been an admirer of the AS, so I take delivery of my 2017 Sport 16 in a few weeks. Thought I would start out small and work my way up in the years to come. As an avid hiker, biker, runner, it will be perfect to take up to the N. Georgia mountains for my outdoor adventures. Since I am single, I am pretty sure I will be happy w/ this model for a few years. I look forward to learning from you guys who have been there and done that. Pretty sure my Ram 1500 w/ Hemi V-8 will not have a problem with this

IronMike,

Welcome to the "block". We're sure you'll find the neighborhood a very helpful place. We've found the folks here very supportive and experienced.

We just started towing a larger (26 ft) Airstream with the 1500 V8 and you should have no problem. For what it's worth, if it's a new one with the rotating dial transmission selector, I've read of people reaching up and turning off their radio, then exiting the truck with it still in drive.

Good luck and many enjoyable adventures,

Roy and Marie

You should look into Top of Georgia Airstream park north of Helen. Nice place to meet other Airstreamers.
