New here (sort of)

Hello All!

I am sort of new here. I have been looking at info on this site for over half a year now. My husband and I lucked out and found a deal on a 65 caravel. We weren't sure what we were getting into. This site has provided a wealth of information. We are in deep. The shell is off now and we are working on the frame. Can't wait to get it back together. For all of you who have taken on the full monty (WOW!) Congratulations to all who have completed this task. I'm not sure what we were thinking. We know it was for the best. Especially after we saw all of the frame(what was left)!

We have 2 young sons and our dream is to take our wee camper across the states with our boys. Love camping and being in the great outdoors and we have friends on the other side of the country we would love to visit.

Thanks to all who have posted such useful info. We have used it very often.

Take care!

Welcome to the forums... ask for help when you get stuck. Caravels are cool and we have a bunch of foum members who have done major overhauls on those little gems.

Thanks Janet! Hoping our caravel turns out to be gem too. Have seen some great work and enjoy seeing everyones ideas.

I see you are from Wahington. Had a dear friend who used to live there. She said it is a must see, absolutely beautiful.
