Hey, buying a 79 modle Argosy from a used car lot in Austin. Problem is it was gutted and poorly taken care of... needs lots of work

Thank you for the advice however I am already buying it. Now if they want to come evaluat the best way to go about fixing it up I'm Game ^_^'

The Texas Vintage Rally is in early May. See the following link:

This rally would be a great place to bring your newly acquired unit to meet other local Airstream owners (there are quite a few of us here in the Austin area). There are very knowledgeable Airstream owners attending this rally that will be glad to look at your unit and offer suggestions. This is the rally that we first attended a couple of years ago when we purchased a 1967 Tradewind and we had no idea what to do or how to approach tacking the various issues.

You mention that your trailer is gutted. I think there are cabins available for rent at the RV park where the vintage rally is being held.

Thanks guys it's nice to know where to look for help, which brings me to my first question, anyone know where I can find detailed wiring sematicts for this thing? plan on making a few modifactions here and there but mostly want to keep as close to origional as possible. (1979 30' Twin bed center bath model)

The usual advice is to order a service manual. Airstream still provides them for many years of trailers, though they're certainly not free. I ordered one for my trailer a week ago, $72.34 including shipping. I think they're all the same price.
