New from KC

Greetings to all from the Kansas City, the home of great BBQ, steaks and the World Champion KC Royals. I love this forum and have learned a lot from all of you.

I am the proud owner of a 2016 A/S FC 23 which I will be towing with an Escalade beginning May. I will be a solo traveler and I'm looking forward to many adventures on the road.

Welcome! There is quite the group of us in KC! If you have something to tow with in the meantime you should check out the AirMidwest rally in eureka springs Arkansas. I'll try and find the link and post it here for you!

Welcome to the forum. I'm over in St Louis, but grew up in the Brookside area. (KC area, for those not familiar.)
Lots of great info here, I've received a lot of help on issues.

Oh yea, 23' is the way to go..

Welcome to the forum. The FC 23, a great solution. We are just a bit biased. She is gonna put a smile on your face. And meeting with other streamers is a good way to learn about your coach and make new friends.

Check out the tire threads. Your 23 has 14 inch wheels, which restricts upgrade options if that is a consideration. ST tires are only rated for 65 mph, so hold that Caddy down just a bit and enjoy the view along the way.

The AC/DC converter is a single stage charger, so take care to not overcharge the batteries. Move the store/use switch to store after 3-4 hours on shore power and monitor the battery charge state and water level periodically. A battery disconnect switch is good upgrade to consider as there are some parasitic loads that remain live even when in store mode. Check out the multi-stage converter upgrade threads and note the battery minder trickle charge alternative.

Do not use a tarp to cover your coach. They flap and scratch the shinny shell. Do keep the shell clean and waxed to protect from corrosion. Do inspect the seams and penetrations for seal degradation and regularly reseal.

And follow rule number 1 .... when you are uncomfortable ..... leave, slow down, or stop.
And follow rule number 1 .... Goal ..... get out and look.
And follow rule number 1 .... make miles and put smiles on faces - use it!

Good luck, travel safe and enjoy the ride. Pat
