Well, after a long time looking at Airstreams, my family has finally made the plunge. Our intention was to wait a little longer, but my wife fell in love with the new Tommy Bahama (her rational is "we live at the beach and we should have a beach themed Airstream") and as "luck" would have it, the local dealer had one on order that wasn't sold. So, we are now the proud "almost" owners of a 2017 Tommy Bahama Special Edition. It should arrive in April.

Currently own a 2014 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn 5.7 Hemi with Max Tow Package and 3.92 gears. I'll use that as my TV for now. I think I'm probably going to want more truck eventually, but I'll run with this one for a bit.

Anyway, look forward to seeing you all on the road!

Billy

Hi from AZ. . . welcome to the clan ! We also bought a 'special' Airstream, the '16 Pendleton. . . . Be prepared to show it off a lot, as folks want to see these fancy new Airstreams. I see the 16" wheel & Michelin pkg wasn't standard (?) on this one, so you may want to consider the upgrade. Discount tire also has the package at a better price. . . We love our Pendleton, I'm sure you'll love your new one too. . . travel safe, Craig

Thanks for the advise on the wheels/tires. Based on things I've read here that will be in the near future.

Getting the concrete pad installed for parking beside the house this week. Now just have to play the long waiting game til April.

Still several months out of the arrival of the Airstream. But now she has a place to park...

Welcome to the Forums from Santa Rosa Beach. We're glad to have you with us. You must be somewhere nearby as SRB is not that big.

Great! Congrats and welcome! Everyone asks for pics, but for your particular trailer, it's critical there are pics with flip flops, Hawaiian shirts and margaritas! Happy camping!!

Will do. Dealer had a "Winter Event" last weekend and Tim Maxwell from Airstream was there, so got to chat with him. Good news is he said it should be here in March instead of the April time frame dealer told me. So hopefully pics soon.
