Smile new englander restoring '63 Airstream Globetrotter

Hello. I'm Helen, and for the past 3 years have been restoring a 63 Globetrotter I picked out of a guys yard.

I am in search of a few final things to complete "Loretta's" restoration- anyone here who would love to share their experience with me is welcome.

My daughter and I have taken Loretta on a many trips, and love her so much.

What kind of stuff are you looking for? It's great to hear you're using the trailer while you're restoring her- ours required a lot of work and took years before we were brave enough to take Globie out, but now he's an integral part of the family. Btw, we're in California mostly, but in Rhode Island part of the year, like right now. Hope to see your Airstream on the road here!

Welcome to the Forum Helen,
'63's are kinda neat - we are in the final phases of doing a shell off on our 1963 Overlander 'Dolly'.

Post photos and questions!

For my '63 shower curtain I used the sew on hooks from my '91 curtains. I see that Vintage Trailer Supply has a good selection of options

Hi HB, that would be fun. We're in Green Hill- I'd love to see your trailer. I got some curtain rail sliders from VTS, and then picked up some others from a local trailer supplier, Allied Trailer supply in San Leandro. I don't know where to go in the north east, but you might try a trailer supply place to actually see the pieces in hand.
