New boy on block

We are semi-retired teachers and just purchased our first Airstream, a 72 Safari that we thought was ready for camping and are learning that we got more of a project. But, we figure after we are done it will be worth it. So have been using the forum alot to learn about our project and the correct way of doing things.

Welcome to the forums! With enough patience, you can turn that '72 into a much newer one, if you wish.

And as you are retired teachers, you very likely have enough patience to get there.

Welcome to the forums. All the knowledge you need is stored here. Learn how to use the search function and you will be rewarded with a wealth of information. If you don't find an answer, then ask.

Now that you have a new hobby, you will soon discover its just like exams before the holiday - working weekends so you can spend time with family during the breaks.

The secret for the restorers seems to be to take it one day at a time. There will a substantial time investment to discover the "punch list" of issues to be addressed with your unit. Then hop on the forums and ask for some ideas on how to prioritize that list and how folks proceeded.

You may receive more information than can be read in an evening.. Also the search function in the blue bar at the top can retrieve lots of previously shared information. You do not to recreate the wheel...

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us. Congratulations on your new baby. None of these things are perfect. You can camp in an imperfect Airstream. We have been doing it for years.

We have a close friend in Enid, and visit him just about every year. We always camp at the High Point RV Park, next to the GMC Dealer.

Brian
