Hi I am new to airstream forum but not new to airstream. My grandparents bought an airstream and began traveling in the 50s. I do remembered that silver treasure parked outside of our south Texas home in the winters long before anyone coined the phrase snow birds. I longed to have one of my own. Finally bought one yes, believe it or not on eBay , and have been thrilled. My parent bought one on ebay as well soon after. We took a month long trip to the west coast visiting every state aNd fed park. Now we are 3 generations streamers Hope to pass this on to my sons and their families. To get to my question, I have a crack in the corner of the fiberglass near the overhead cabinet above in coach. 92excella. Any thoughts in how to stop it from cracking further.
GeGe, drill a hole at the very end of the crack to keep it from lengthening. This is done in metal as well. The hole relieves the stress in the material. It may allow the crack widen, but it should stop the crack from getting longer. The hole will not have to be very big, try a 1/8" to 3/16" bit.
