New and excited about it.
Hello -
I live in north central New Mexico on a remote cattle ranch. I have found an 85 Airstream I am interested in buying and I'm looking for the inspection check list.
I plan to park the Airstream next to the old adobe house I live in and do whatever work it needs. I will live full time in it when it's ready! Nothing can be colder than this house in the winter. There are active springs down behind the house which used to supply the house with water. But all the pipes froze and the bathroom is in the back of the house so the whole place would have to be heated to keep them from freezing again. I can pipe that water to the trailer. The pump still works down there. The water runs year round even when it's -30F every night. There used to be a whiskey still down there - that's how good the water is. Never have to break ice for the stock!
I have a Border Collie and a giant Karakachan Livestock Guardian dog. That's why I'm looking at 31' trailers. I just pulled off 31' with a tape. It seems gigantic. The price is relatively reasonable and the trailer looks very clean, no dents, inside looks great.
I was wondering about finding an inspector in Albuquerque. I have one shot at this deal. My mother is flying in tomorrow to help me. I am Agent Orange poisoned (although not a vet) and I desperately need a controlled living environment. I have been reading through a lot of posts here and I am very hopeful!
Thanks,
janeinthemtns.
