We're plugged into powere so we have lights, music and fridge, and the propane quickly heats up the space so we can hang out in the evenings (cribbage anyone?). We've even entertained. This weekend, we fired up the stove and oven (works beautifully), fantastic fan, etc. As a newbie, it's been helpful to become familiar with the controls, space, etc. I highly recommend purchasing 'The Newbies Guide to Airstreaming' . Although it shouldn't take place of your owners manual (our latest coffee table read!) It provides a great overview of key info in a uick read. Enjoy the adventure!
Good luck on your first adventure, post some pics. We've been doing a lot of reading too and watching a lot of YouTube videos everything is new to us but reading posts like yours encourage us.

Bob, I tented at Piseco years ago (many times) and backpacked and camped at T- Lake falls. Spent alot of time camping at the end of Mountain Home Road in Hoffmeister, NY which is a few miles west of Piseco. Camped at West Canada Creek campground in Poland a couple of times but spend most of our time in the Old Forge area and Moose River plains for boon docking. This year I would like to explore more of the high peaks area, so many campgrounds so little time. Maybe we will meet on the road some day.

Bill,

Well if you ever see an Airstream parked on the lawn on Rt.8 in Cold Brook, that would be us visiting the relatives.
