Heading south?

Heading south or winterizing that new Airstream? We live in northern Ohio and we have our winterized until we decide if we are going to get out of this weather for awhile.
Glad you joined us. This is a great place to visit and learn! Congratulations on your new "baby"!

Great choice Bjleci - the same as ours! Sadly we won't be doing any traveling until next May; unless we crack earlier!

Nice! That's a big baby! Where are you? CG or is it a vacation spot? I love the huge pad! Very nice.

I have the same model -- only it's a 2012....and while it's winterized now, I still go out back to sit in it! Did have two short weekends (it was delivered on Nov 1), and have yet to find a single issue with it. New fabric has been delivered for curtains, bedspread and accent pillows (my partner is an interior designer). Will post some interior shots when it's all finished up. I visited JC back in September to watch them build the AS....not a single 28' Intl CCD was in the assembly process. It takes 9 days to build a single trailer, and I was very impressed with what I saw and the assembly folks I talked to.

I did have one problem
Found a small water leak at the connection to the outside shower
Luckily I was able to get at it by taking the drawers out
Definitely post some pics
My wife would like to know where you got the new curtains from

There is a plastic rigid, but a little flexible, extrusion that they use for cement floors that could be used on the plywood to give you the air flow and a little insulation. You could glue aluminum foil to the top of the plywood to prevent the moisture getting into the plywood. You could then glue polystyrene or extruded Blue foam insulation under the plywood. More insulation against the outer walls of the compartment and the door would also help.
