Talking New Airstream Owner needing lots of help

Hello my new friends,
My husband, David and I have recently acquired 2 26 foot airstream trailers. One I know is a 1959 as I have the paper on it but this one does not look the same as the 1959s on the Airstream web page. (This one does not have a gaucho front sofa but 2 side facing benches with a table in the middle. The other 26' does not have paper and so am uncertain what year it is and well, it's interior does not seem to match any of the schematics as well. ( It has a large closet in the back in the bathroom behind the beds and 2 louvered windows next to the front door to the right) . Both do look original though and so I am wondering if the serial numbering will tell us what we have. Both were made in California.
Can anyone out there help us figure out exactly what we have. We will be rebuilding both for different purposes making the 1959 original as it has most of everything in tact.
Thanks in advance for any help we can get. We are very excited to be new airstream owners!!!
Jan (Stellalaluna)

Welcome to the forums.
Your 59 sounds like an Overlander dinette model, does it have two beds midships, or just one larger one on one side, and closets on the other?
The other one sounds like an early 1960's model Overlander. Pictures will help in identifying them.

Welcome aboard!

If you post the VIN numbers we can help decipher what they are.
VIN numbers can be found on the plates next to the doors....don't use title or registration, they could be wrong - it happens all the time.

With the VINs and pics (we pics!)...the mystery will be solved!

Hi and welcome to the forums! We used to live in Ventura and just can't figure out why we moved back East! I hope the fires stay away from you and the Airstreams! You will get a lot of answers to your questions here. It really is a great forum. Good Luck!

Congrats and welcome to the forum! I'm so jealous- 2 trailers!??!!

If you post pictures it would help me narrow it down, but there are others who can de-code the serial numbers for you.

Search the forum how-to on posting pictures and post away- we love pics!!

WOW!!! so fast we have new friends.. I will take photos later in the day after we move the truck so the twins can be taken together. Thanks everybody for your help.. more info to come.
For the 59 it does have the twin beds and dinette sounds right, I have just never seen photos of this model. This one needs a couple of windows so any ideas where we start looking for those? This unit was slightly vandaled where it sat for a few years and the front window is gone as well as the back side window on the right side.

If the window frames are intact, you can just put regular window glass in them, and it's pretty inexpensive too. That's what originally came in them, most any glass shop can cut windows for you.

If you have the windows made you have a couple of choices to enhance safety: You can have the glass tempered, which makes it harder to break or you can put a clear anti-UV film (similar to window tint) that will help hold the pieces together if one gets broken.
