Hi everybody!
I just bought a 23 ft 1970 Airstream Safari and boy am I going to need some help. It is in decent shape but is missing the kitchen sink, stove and heater. I'm going to need new weatherstrip, new l.p. lines, stink vent covers and propane tanks. Any tips and resources you guys and girls can provide will be much appreciated. Thanks everybody!
Peace
Keith
Hello and welcome!
We live in Michigan, but not very close to Warren. There is a ton of info here on how to replace, repair and fix your Airstream.

Well it looks like I made a big mistake in buying this airstream. I can't afford a tow vehicle or car insurance. If you haven't owned a car in over ten years or held insurance, nobody wants to insure you for less than $4000 for the first six months. So my dream of traveling cross country to Oregon is going down the toilet. I will be posting it in the classifieds as soon as I can get a camera to get pics. If anybody is interested in it before the posting is made, let me know.
Don't get me wrong, I am still utterly in love with her. I just cannot figure out how I am going to be able to afford a truck and insurance to get her out of the driveway.
Ok so I decided to keep her and finish fixing her up.
Too much in love to give her up.
Anybody have a hinge for a 30.5 inch side window for a 1970 Safari?
My hinge is missing and the window is screwed directly into the frame.
I would prefer replacing just the hinge over buying a whole new window.
This is the window. Airstream Curved Glass & Sash (1969-74)
