New Airstream owner

Hello, my wife and I just bought a 2006 safari 25 foot. It was bought by another person about six months ago but never used. We have never owned one, or a travel trailer at all. We have always had and still do have motorhomes. One thing I am wondering is if it is usual to add inverters and or genarators to these. We are in Kalispell Mt. which is way northwest so solar probably isnt very good for us. Also please let me know if I am posting correctly and in the right area.

Many Airstream owners I know carry small gas generators in their tow vehicle, typically Hondas or Yamahas. There aren't very many places to put a generator in your typical Airstream.

Having said that, we met a guy at the big Oshkosh fly-in a couple years back who'd mounted a huge generator under the bed of his 31' Classic. He was unusual in many ways, including towing that beast with a BMW SUV (And I'm not impuning BMWs; we've owned several, but we've driven an X5 and wouldn't want to tow a large Airstream with one.)

Not sure I'd be able to tolerate the noise, vibration and fumes of a generator under my bed, but he seemed to still be breathing.

Robert,
Your posting looks good to me. I pull an '06 also. Gave up the Greyhound motor home thing. You will enjoy your Air stream as you "slow down and smell the roses" Have family in Polson. Enjoy the new AS my friend.
