New Airstream Owner

Good morning all....
Just purchased a 1967 Sovereign 30' this weekend. It appears to be nearly all original, green frig and stove/ oven still work. Also appears to be in solid condition, but I am probably looking at gutting it and reno/ redo entire interior. I know all the systems need to be updated or replaced, and so far most of it seems to be something I can manage doing myself, including majority of int. I am looking forward to bringing this back to glory, but am interested in any ideas and or resources for where I may take it for renovation. I am in the Tidewater area of Virginia (Chesapeake/ Virginia Beach). I have found one place in Sterling and am waiting to hear back from them. Thanks in advance, Brad.

Welcome 83spyder. Thanks for the photos. You have a lovely old Sovereign that appears in very good condition. I like the mid sixties Airstreams, the last of the old body style. They do have goofy Corning curved window glass. And the windows are known to leak. Take care with your windows. Airstream used this design for only three years. Parts are somewhat rare.

Like my 66 Trade Wind, your trailer has the Dura Torq axles that are still used today, it has a well made frame, it has 2024-T3 Alclad aluminum skins, it has a single hinge door, it has excellent vinyl clad interior skins, it has worrisome aluminum electrical wiring, it has a goofy fiberglass rear bath, and your international model has nice wood cabinets.
