New 27FB International
Like a lot of retired couples that are trying to decide what they're going to do when they grow up, we found this forum in November 2012 as part of our research into getting one of those shiny aluminum trailers that we always see in our travels. Recognizing the enthusiasm that everyone on this forum has for their Airstream, we found ourselves visiting the Airstream dealer in San Diego over the Thanksgiving week-end. By the end of that week-end, we had purchased a new 27FB International with the Expresso interior. So now the journey begins !!
We have already charted out a number of trips, starting with Alumafiesta in Tucson. Along the way, I'm sure that we'll have many questions and comments related to the Airstream experience...
Till then,
Cris

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle
Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us. Congratulations on your new baby. Yous are going to love Airstreaming. The 27FB is the the perfect mix between big enough and not too big. Enjoy your Airstream adventures.

Greeting From New Orleans
As Brain stated welcome. I have been hanging around this forum off and on for years. My wife and I just purchased a 28 Foot International Serenity 2012 (New) rear bed yesterday. If you check my signature you will see this is our 3rd trailer, Airstreams can get into your blood. Donna is retired and I am semi retired, we just try to keep having fun.

Forget about growing up. Not nearly as much fun as, say, St. George Island State Park where this photo was taken last September.

Welcome Cris,
Probably only one thing better than retirement and that is retirement with an Airstream. We got our 25 FB just before we retired and still love it. But, we just walked through a 27 like yours at the local RV Show and really liked that one. The bedroom is so much nicer....
You might want to give the Albuquerque Balloon Festival a thought. It is held in early October and this year there will be 200 Airstreams parked on the grounds. It is great fun and an amazing spectacle if you haven't been.
Welcome to the fourm.

Chris, welcome to the forums. You will love your 27'FB, we sure love ours. It has a great floor plan and tows beautifully. Have fun planning your trips but don't over plan, remember, spontaneity is your friend.

My wife and I recently ordered a 27FB International Serenity with the Expresso interior too. Its supposed to be delivered mid-April. I already made reservations to camp at Morro Bay and to visit our son at CalPoly in early May. Been shopping for the hitch and talking with others about stuff. Can't wait!

Experience with Lewster’s solar work?
Hi - I have a 2012 AI lounge and am thinking of adding solar panels. I saw on one thread where you were planning on taking yours to Lewster. Just curious as to how that went and if you are happy with the work and would recommend him.
Thanks - Gary (Asheville)
