New 2019 Flying Cloud Bunkhouse

So in about 36 hours we are scheduled to pick up a new 2019 Flying Cloud bunkhouse! Looking forward to our first (and last?) Airstream. Currently own a 31 foot 5th wheel SOB. The Airstream will be our 3rd RV, 1st was a Lance 1130 truck camper.

So much great information on this forum. Been RVers for 20 years, but new to Airstreams, so I have read a ton and will be reading more and probably asking a few questions. We selected the Airstream for the overall build quality, windows, light weight, looks, ergonomics, no slides, etc. We picked the bunkhouse as it suits our needs with 12 yo daughter and an ocassional friend that camps with us on 1-2 week vacation camping trips....and when we move towards retirement in 7 +/- years we anticipate this floor plan will still serve us well for longer trips, etc.....

Gonna head home and "finish" the rough setup of the truck side for the equalizer hitch. Have owned an Equalizer for 15 years on a boat trailer and it should pair well with our TV, a 2005 Ram 3500. Dealer said they will install L brackets on Airstream and make final adjustments. I've done it before, but I'm confident their tech has done more of them! But the engineer in me will be checking to insure the install is "by the book"!

Welcome! Have fun with your new Airstream. Be sure to give it a thorough check before you leave the dealer's lot to come up with a punch list of items that need attention.

Have fun!

Hi! The 30’ flying cloud with bunks is the model we are looking at. We have 2 children under 4 so this should provide years of family fun. I would love to hear about what you think now that you’ve owned it.
