Welcome to the forums!

Do you not have a door at all? It would be a lot easier to rebuild one than find one without a trailer attached...if you are starting from scratch, you will need to find another '64 donor at either a Airstream graveyard or scrapyard or one being scraped out for parts ebay...

Good luck in your search...that's a tough one!

Shari

U need to check with AS but I think I remember our tour guide DON (retired after 50 yrs) (we were there yesterday 09/18/07) said that any door from any AS will fit no matter the yr, they are all the same.

Wow! I find that very hard to imagine....the '64 and earlier doors are "door-within-a-door" - totally different design from how they are made today with separate screens. Also, the early trailers have a much different contour that late-models. Not that I've ever taken my door off to try it, but...

Anybody tried it?

Shari

Just rebuild it if you still have a good frame. It's not hard at all, just takes a little time, and may be the help of a sheet metal shop to bend the contour the edges. I have pictures of my completed door for my 56 airstream. Just do a search under Dan Clayton and you will see pictures of both my old trailer and the one I'm restoring now.
