My wife and I both have Silver Fever.......

We've been afflicted with the disease and now are the proud owners of a 19' 2006 Bambi Safari SE. Although we like the look of the older vintage AS's, we decided to go with a new one for our first AS. I'd be willing to bet that down the road we'll be looking to restore a vintage '57 or '58, but for right now we decided to go with a small, reliable trailer for our initial plunge.

We're planning to attend the rally in GA next month, and we'll take her down to Sarasota in July. Living in middle TN, I think there are plenty of places to go within a few hours of home for a weekend getaway. Anybody have any campground recommendations for the TN, GA area.

I love these forums and peruse on a daily basis.

Silver fever...

...an incurable condition. I think you will love the Bambi. We do ours, but I am also looking forward to start restoring my 68 Trade Wind. We also went with a new trailer because, with my job, there was little time to dedicate to the 68, and we wanted to get back into camping.
See you on the road.

The Chatanooga West KOA campground was a cool place to visit, on the side of a mountain, no less. right off the Interstatte, so it is easy to get into, and of course you can then go to the Tennesee Valley Railroad Museum, as well as the Aquarium.

Crossville Tenn Airstream park

I have not been there in about five years but they had an excellant park with about 400 acres out in the mountains. 130 sites. Little remote, but that is the way we like it. Had ponds and a big club house. Rented some sites to people coming thru although most sites were leased to the members. It is off highway 127 16 miles south of Crossville. Side road has sign just as you cross Daddy's Creek. Go west 4.7 miles and then 2.1 south to enterance. Offical name is Tennessee Cumberland Plateau Campground.
