My new "Doghouse" - 1970 31' Sovereign

Just bought the Sovereign. The wife wasn't thrilled. It might become my new doghouse when I'm in trouble with her
I have to admit it's a bit of an eyesore right now. A few dents, need a new belly skin, some subfloor replacement, and a whole lot of cleaning.
I'll post pictures as time allows.

I tried to post an avatar photo but got a "invalid file" message. The file is a .jpg, 95 x 71 pixels, 4.1 KB.

Anyone know what the problem is?

a lot of us are redoing Sovereigns. I'm intermittent, between travels and doing needed things on my other two AS, but all my work on my Sovereign will be documented here

you can also see some details of the water system here

That's funny....

My wife hated ours at first also. In fact, she wouldn't even come inside it without a canister mask, my big rubber chemical gloves, hat, etc.... Funny thing though, 1 year later (after the remodel) she said she wouldn't part with it for any amount of money. Here's hoping your wife will someday see your coach as a diamond in the rough too!!! --dave

The other way around.

Welcome to the forum you will find all kinds of advice here and lots of nice folks. My husband was the one that was not to sure and boy has he had some choice words during the refurb. But the weekends we have been able to go out and camp he sure has enjoyed. She will come around start showing her all the re-furb pics here and I bet she will knock the door down to help.

Thanks for the encouragement. I have a 10 year old son who I think will be able to help on some level. Maybe when we get to the polishing stage. A lot of work to do before then.

Zep,

Looks like you could help me avoid a few mistakes along the way. Hope you don't mind me asking lots of questions.
