My first Airstream

Hell, my name is Brian and I just acquired my first Airstream trailer. I have always wanted one but they seemed just a bit untouchable for my family. We recently bought a house to restore that was built in 1904, and across the street was this old sitting there. My wife and I looked over and said that would be kinda cool and wrote it off. To make a long story short, we now have 1966 Airstream that we had to pay a total of $25.00 for it. Yes I said $25.00. It is gutted and needs a completely new interior, but the stove, water tank, sink and a few other misc pieces are there. Wish me luck !!

Good luck Brian. We just purchased a 2010 Flying Cloud 20ft, our first. Loving it so far! I love the vintage trailers too. Go to an AS rally where you can get great ideas on refurbishing.

It's true !!

I guess officially my 15 year old son found the deal. He was talking to our neighbor and jokingly said "hey, what would you take for the trailer" One text later my son said we could have it for $25.00. Our neighbor has a few things stored in it right now and we will be moving from across the street in the next couple of days. I WILL post some pics.

Got some pics

Still finding it a little tricky to get pics posted. I did get some under the photos tab, titled "Here she is " I'm hoping that the trailer will be road worthy. We are wanting to do our own "custom" interior.

The body looks pretty good! Get out your wallet for the project.....it'll cost you, but will be just what you want when you're finished!
