Congrats! For that price I would consider buying a temporary garage to put over it so you can work on it at your own pace. IMO having most of it gutted could end up saving you time, unless you were interested in having it all original. There are some neat ideas out there about using airstreams as open, detached office space and for $25 personally I would not feel bad using it in a fun and creative way (except for scrap:-). Fun fund!

Fantastic! Nothing beats a $25 blank slate - especially if you were able to tow it on the long voyage home.

What a great way to start out! A little polishing on the outside and you have a great aluminum tent, Now the dreaming starts!
Congratulations and have fun.

That has to be one of the best deals made! If you have original glass in the windows be super careful. Airstream had curved frameless Corning glass windows in only three years, 1966-8. They are really expensive to replace, if you can find them at all. Most owners resort to Lexan, so if yours are real, no playing baseball, or mowing grass near them!

Twenty Five bucks!!

Just curious, wonder how much the scrap value of the aluminum is (not that I would scrap it)
