i have a 1997 land yacht, the other day i went into the unit to get a tool.
found that a mirror had fallen off the med chest door over the commode and shattred it as held on by double sidded tape. e mailed air stream to see if there was any rretrofit to secure the otther mirrors they suggest mirror clips wouldnt work as mirrors total cover the door they said they still use tape to secure the mirrors. if any one else has had this problem and has a fix.

I would try to glue a piece of the old mirror to the same type backing using PL400 construction glue. I suggest using a sample just to make sure the PL will bond to the mirror back. Unlike contact cement the PL will give you some time to position the glass. If the PL works on the sample take the door off and position your new mirror while the door is laying flat and let the PL set up overnight then remount the door.

Some glues will dissolve the silvering on a mirror, be sure to test anything on a scrap before you try it for real.

Double-sided foam tape will hold mirrors very well if you use enough. Relative to the cost of the mirror, the tape is cheap, so use numerous strips (say 2-3 times as much as Airstream used). The foam tape has many advantages including handling differential expansion between the mirror and its substrate and adjusting to irregularities in the substrate.
