Maiden Voyage

Madden Voyage

Our madden voyage went off with out a hitch. 4am depart from Smithfield Rhode Island and a 10am arrival in Belfast Maine. The 2003 Tahoe pulled the 2006 28’ Safari LS with no problems. The trailer felt really good on the back, the tow speeds were between 55 mph and 65 mph.

We stayed at the Moorings in Belfast for the first two nights and then to Bass Harbor campground for six nights and the last two nights at Baleys in Scarborough Maine.

We are happy to say that all but the last campground were nice.

Congrats! I remember our maiden voyage with our new to us Excella like it was yesterday even though it was 3 1/2 years ago.

We didn't have the great towing experience you did though - had some sway issues with our truck and trailer combo so we upgraded to a much better hitch - made all the difference in the world.

Maiden Voyage

Congrats on the successful maiden voyage. I have had our new 23' Safari for 11 days now. Have not had it out of the driveway. All campgrounds were full during the 4th Holiday. So we are taking it out this weekend at a campground about 2 miles from here. Good place for the shakedown in case I forget something. We are booked for a weekend at the end of the month about 60 or more miles from us. Anyway, if was the filrst time towing anything. Hope I can hitch it up to the ball, dealer did that upon delivery. Brief training. Me having the attention span of a circus monkey is no help.
This morning I had a designated 30 amp outlet installed at our house. A tad pricey but now that it is paid for and the electrician has left, I am glad I did it.

Congratulations, Viper! We also took our Bambi out for her maiden voyage this past weekend. Can you believe it's taken this long for us to get decent weather here in New England?!

Hope we'll see you down the road...

Congratulations!

Our new (to us) Minuet is at the shop having a "checkup." Hopefully we will be able to use it before the summer is over .

Hope to meet you and your family at an upcoming rally!
