Wink Looking in MN

I have always loved anything vintage and all things Airstream. We are looking to place in on our lake lot to use this summer, maybe next until we build. Then I plan on making it the coolest "guest cottage" on the lake. I want something larger with a lounger couch but would love to vintage it up with an old upright fridge and a 40's theme. Any advise would be helpful. We are also on a budget like most people so a $50,000 decked out vintage isn't going to happen. I would rather do it myself (with help of course from the kids and husband)

Anything like a 27' - 31' in decent shape available in a 300 mile radius? Late 60's early 70's just fine..............................

Hi Lori, welcome! Have you checked out our classifieds and placed a "wanted" ad? You never know when someone might think about selling the Airstream of your dreams. Good luck with your search and let us know how it all turns out.

You may want to look online at airstreampark.com. This is the Airstream park in Clear Lake, near St Cloud. There is a for sale section on the website where you may find what you are looking for.

Welcome from the Florida Panhandle

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.

The guest cottage thing sounds like a really neat idea. A Vintage Airstream would be the way to go. You're in luck wanting a larger trailer. When it comes to vintage, the bigger the trailer, the smaller the price. You may even find a great price on a unit with bad axles. You could have it flat bedded to your lot, and since it won't be going on the road, the wheels are just for looks.

Good luck in your search. If we can help, let us know

Brian
