Looking for a restoration Post

Hi guys names Rick Bogart hence Bogie I'm in NYC currently a Firefighter/EMT enjoy 4 Wheeling and have been considering getting a pull behind trailer to make trips a bit more enjoyable. Tow rig would be my 84 Dodge W350 Crew Cab. Other toys include a 66 Dart & 99 HD Super Glide.

I don't own a Airstream but did spend a fair bit of time in one through the south west as a kid. I am a licensed airframe mechanic so I may be of some help to those needing fabrication or repair advise. But I was brought hear looking for a thread about a restoration where the unit was converted into a enclosed car hauler and still had living space.

I had read the entire thread a few years back with great interest but do to a computer crash the website it was on was lost, I believe it was on one of the car forums I was on and that was the car being hauled. But since it was a Airstream I found this site and figured that someone here either knows what I'm talking about or even owns this one.

Welcome, I haven't seen that thread here, but if it's out there somewhere, someone here will probably know where it is.

Seems that there are a lot of us here that have old cars and old airstreams, and HD's they seem to go together!

Hi Bogie, and welcome!

Was it this thread:

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f161...box-16243.html

It wasn't an Airstream, but it was pretty cool...

Thanks for the welcomes, Roger thats the one.

I tried searching here and on Google and just couldn't find the right search terms now that I know it wasn't a Airstream I know why.
