Looking for a new trailer

Hi Everyone: I Just joined and look forward to gather as much information that I can before buying a new or not so old Airstream. Any help would be appreciated. I have a 2006 Chev Silverado 2500 4x4 with the Duramax as a tow vehicle. Thanks Larry

Welcome and learn the routine...

Larry-
Welcome and good luck in your search...

Step One: Learn to use the "Search" tab in blue bar above... Search for words or combinations of words or phrases like "What trailer should I buy" and you'll find at least dozens of threads and messages to read through as history...

Step Two: Look through electronic classifieds here and on airstream.net and rvtraderonline.com and other places. Looking at multiple trailers will help you recognize "The ONE" when you see it....

Step Three: Try contacting other local Forum members in BC or attend rallies (look at Rallies Tab at top..) and actally talk with other owners.. Why did you buy what you did, would you do it again or do something different? etc etc

Step Four: Try to be clear abut how you'll actually use it? What kinds of trips, outings, parks and mileage? How many people and how friendly or close? These answers will help you decide on size and age and amenities required...

Welcome Larry. With a 2500 Duramax, you can handle any Airstream.

Howdy Larry and welcome to the Forums. Whether via a very attentive previous owner (P.O.) or pure chance there are ready-to-roll deals out there. They are as rare as hens' teeth. You will have to decide when you want to hit the road. Rehab of an old unit until ready to use may take longer than next summer. I've done both. After a couple hundred hours of investment in my Argosy I ran out of time (and cervical disks). I chose a good financing deal and "new," thus my '06 Safari FB SE. We love being on the road!
