Looking at a '74 Argosy

Hi everyone!! First timer on here. My wife and I are going to look at a 74 argosy today. We can get it for $1000. It is going to require a lot of work but wondering if it is worth it for the price. The under belly is full of holes and it looks like miceville on the inside. No idea if anything works. The shell appears in good shape. No dents or anything. Every other one we see is around the $5000 range. Should we jump in and take a chance without knowing too much? Or what should I be taking a closer look at? Going for a second look and any advice would be great! Thx

If the front curved windows are there and unbroken, they alone are worth the price of the rig you are considering. In other words, the parts may be worth the money alone, if you find it is not worth restoring and renovating.

I have a '74 Argosy that I bought for $2,200. I now have $11,000. Into it, so be prepared to spend some money.

Good to know about the windows. That helped make the final decision. It rained while we were there and of course there is a leak at the crank for the antenna lol. I'm going to be busy for the next few years!!
