Long time lurker, hopefully soon-to-be owner!

Good morning all!

Been lurking these forums for a few years now while dreaming of owning my very own Airstream.

My husband and I are committing to making the AS storage area on our property a reality within the next year or so, so figured it was time to get official. You'll probably find me over in the storage/carports forum for the next few months

About us: We live in San Diego, CA, about 3 miles from downtown. We had the opportunity to rent/travel in a 16' Airstream Sport for the first time last year and loved it, planning to buy one of our own (preferably 2-10 model years old) when the storage area is ready. We're excited to take it out on the road, as well as use it as a casita for visiting guests. We love to beach camp at our local campgrounds, but are also looking forward to spending more time in Northern California and building our boondocking skills.

Welcome fellow lurker! We hope we're about 2 years off ourselves.
This is a great place.

Welcome to the forum. Looking and researching is as much fun as your first trip. Do it all once and do it right .... or at least good enough that you can live with your choices until your LOTO win. Good luck with the adventure. Pat

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us. It sounds like you have a plan.

Our Airstream is set-up in the alley behind our house. We have been using Lucy as a guest room for years. We also use her for a back-up refrigerator. Sometimes we just go out and hang out in Lucy as a get away. It is especially nice to go out and stretch out on her bed and listen to the rain tap on her roof.

Welcome from Colorado: Air Forums is a great Airstream website. I've used it for years. I find participants here pleasant, fun, and knowledgeable. The advice given has helped me.

My son is out with his 1969 Airstream 21' as I write. Airstreams last a very long time and provide many adventures through the years.

Welcome to the family. This forum is the reason I own a Airstream. Haven't been happier.

Welcome!

Hopefully you will experience the same pleasure that we have found in owning an AS.
Take your time, sit in EVERY possible style that interests you.
Do not convince yourself that you can “make it work” by settling for less.
Go with your gut feeling.
Happy travels!

Dan
