I have been looking at this great site for several years and as I got my 76
Sovereign last week I thought it know the right time to join up.
I saw my first Airstream as a young man in the early eighties in a theme park in the UK appropriately named the American adventure, it was a 1947 model and about sixteen feet long. It was on display, fully polished and left a lasting impression on me. They are still quite rare items in the UK.
I am currently building a new house in a small village in Leicestershire (about 15 miles from where they recently found King Richard 111 bones) and decided it was a perfect site to live in an Airstream for the duration.
I am going to refurbish the "old girl" and from what I have seen its well engineered and will be a pleasure to work on.
I love owning American kit.
