I am new to Airstreams and just bought my first. I have been working on RV's for over 10 years and thought I should try the best of them. Just bought a 1976 Sovereign LY that has sat out in the desert for 15 years. Other than bad tires and not couch or beds, it is in very good shape. Will take any advice you can give. I hope to have it on the road in about 4 months to start traveling during the summer. I am sure I will see some of you sometime on the road.

Welcome! Just got a "new" 76 Sovereign myself. Aren't they great with all that room. If I can give you any hints about what yours should look like or what goes where, just let me know. Mine has been well taken care of, so most of the original stuff is in place. I have the rear bedroom model. We would like to see pictures, before and after, of your new family member.
Well, I did the first go thru on this thing. Everything is wrong. I might be working for a few years to get it going. I will try to get some pictures of it on here soon. Everything inside is damaged in one way or another. I guess I can say I have a good skin to start with...lol. The vents were all letting the water in and there have been several plumbing leaks over the years. I guess the floors and vents come first. Does anyone have a line on replacement vent domes? I haven't been on top yet to check the size, but they seem smaller than the standard 14x14. Thanks for the welcome.
