just saying hello

i am a new member. i have a 1960 airstream safari and a 1962 safari. the 60 model is a landyacht international and is about 75% restored. i travel in it and have for the last couple years. i had a motorhome. i worked for a guy that had six vintage airstreams. we did upscale remodel on houses and when we were not working on houses, we worked on airstreams. in about five years, we redone, to different degrees, all six airstreams. i bought one from the internet, tried it and that was it. i sold my motorhome and pull vehicle, bought another, i guess one for a spare, and i love my airstreams. me and my wife went to the grand canyon last month. if you don't have a vintage airstream, you will never know the pride you feel when you pull into any rv park . people love to look at these beautiful trailers. anyway, i am an airstream fanatic. i also happen to be one that know a lot about old airstreams. i just wanted to say hello. jaclaw@ticnet.com

Welcome, jaclaw, to our forum! Your introduction sounds like you will bring experience in restoration to share with the group. Your pride in vintage units comes through as bright and shiney as those trailers! ~G
