just sayin hello.

thought i would just introduce myself real quick. my dad just purchased a 1971 outlander 27', and we are going to do a restoration/customization on it. this is a first camper for both of us, so we are excited but lost as to what needs to be done! i am camping in it in a few weeks, so we are goin to get the lights working, new tires, and give it a basic run through this weekend. any advice would be great, it's an older camper, but pretty solid and supposedly everything works. the only problem that was mentioned to us by the previous owner is that there is a short in the 12volt system.. somewhere. the previous owner started pulling interior lights to test them, but never found the "short". nothing was burning up or blowing fuses, but he said there was a draw on the battery that would drain it.. any advice would be much appreciated.. common problems, somthing you have faced, etc. thanks for the help in advance, and i look forward to chatting with yall in the future!

Welcome, another Overlander! Cool, Good luck finding the draw on the battery. I had one, turned out to be the vent fan was on, froze and would not move, just heat it up. That was a fun one to find.

Check out my site, I'm working on my '73 this year.
