Just purchased our first Airstream

Finally, after many years of looking, reading, visiting dealerships, and knowing we are not getting any younger to try this new adventure at our age(65/62), we put a deposit down and ordered a 2014 30ft Flying Cloud. This forum has helped with various topics and we have also communicated with several of you, especially , "Switz", so because of many of your comments and assistance this Airstream community will now become a reality for us. Hope to see many of you down the road.

When your eyeballs feel like the wheels in a Las Vegas slot machine, you will have barely scratched the information available here.

Will send a pm later with what we have booked marked as things to consider before the delivery takes place.

Switz,

Could you possibly PM me the things to consider before taking delivery. I have been trying to compile a list and any help would be greatly appreciated

Switz, those pre-delivery links would be also appreciated. Perhaps you can append to a post? Thanks.

Thanks all. Since we placed the order September 6th and had 30 days to make changes to the original order, we finally settled on the Expresso recliners to match the Mica top with ultra leather dinette. Almost went with the electric awning but my wife thought for the extra $3,000 for this option that woul pay for many campgrounds, tires, and other bling down the road. Just found out our ship date is January 22, 2014 and received our vin# today so we can officially join the WBCCI community. Be Streemn soon.

Congratulations, we picked ours up just a year ago and we remember the feeling. We are happier with it today than we were a year ago.
Have fun!
