Just joined the site today

A few questions-My wife and are getting a 2003 International CCD 22 feet. We have a 2005 f150 King ranch 4x4 is that going to be ok ? Our only experience has been pulling our 2 horse trailer which has been no problem. Thanks

I think the vast majority around here would agree that your truck is more than sufficient for the 22 footer.

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

First off, welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.

I think that your towing combination should work. You will need a quality weight distribution/anti-sway hitch system. You will also need a quality trailer brake controller installed in your truck. You may already have these from tow the horse trailer.

Welcome! A Kings Ranch is a nice truck! Wd and anti sway will make it a perfect match. Have fun and post pics.

Welcome ronk,

We're glad to have have you here. The K-Ranch should be capable for your application but you should refer to the OM and applicable drivetrain configuration specs for confirmation.

A quailty brake controller and hitch setup will make your experience safer and more comfortable.

Kevin

Thanks for all the good info. I do have a brake controller (Prodigy) I had put in for the horse trailer. Sounds like I'll be OK,the guy I bought it from has sway bars and a receiver hitch I have not seen yet,he was pulling with a Ford Expedition no problem. I'm picking it up when he gets back in town in 3 weeks. It has only been on 4 weekend trips and slept in for a month when his Son was in town. I'm embarrassed to tell you what I paid,he named the price and I said YES! $ 12,000....When I get I'll post the pix...It has a scratch slightly indented on the side when he brushed a gas station post other than that it's a gem. He pointed out the water pressure for the hot is low for some reason and the roof vent in front does not work. I fix that stuff later.
