Just Dove Right In

I’m going to divulge my greenhorn status and half baked thinking in this post.
I am the happy if overwhelmed owner of a 1976 25’ Tradewind Twin. It has been majorly renovated inside. New heater, WH, refer, cabinets, sink, wiring, lights etc. It is very nice. There is even solar system up top, don’t know how many watts. A 1000 watt inverter, the other metered thingys.
I did not do any research and it was the only one I looked at. The person who sold it to me purchased it from the folks who’d paid $$$$$ to have it renovated. So he hadn’t had it that long and only used it a few times. But oops I fell in love with her anyway.
I’ve owned RVs, never a TT. I have a tow vehicle, but I’ve never towed. I’m on the California Redwood coast so I’m hoping to start local and teach this old dog a few new tricks before venturing further.
So, I’ll be poking around the forums, gleaning useful info. Watched lots of YouTube for newbies also.
Gotta start somewhere and everyone enjoys a hearty chuckle anyway. Thanks for listening.

Well,
My my my! That is a very nice looking Airstream!

The depth of your commitment will dawn soon. There are many helpful folks here for your questions... my best advice,,, let it sink in. There doesn’t appear to be a rush of on your part to take a trip to Alaska .... yet, so load the coffee magazine with fresh beans and water... and get out the eye drops for screen burn and pen/paper for lists, notes, ramblings...

Looking forward to your perceptions after a week,’month, quarter...etc...

Oh, keep the pics coming!

If the rest of the trailer is as well done as the interior, you have a jewel. Welcome to Airstreaming and the forums. Looking to forward to some camping pictures.

Someone did a beautiful job on that interior. It certainly is worth many bitcoins. You have acquired the Airstream of my dreams. Beautiful.

Welcome to the Airstream Forums.

I had a 66 Trade Wind 24' and now have a 75 Overlander 27'. We also have a 86 Limited 34'. All three trailers are twin bed layouts which we find works well for us.

Yep, there is a lot to learn, but you can do it. Take it slow and easy. I have found the folks on these Forums to be very helpful with my questions. And I might add there are no dumb questions. Just find the Forum topic of your question, e.g. towing and hitches, or electrical, and ask away. Your question will likely find an answer.
