Just bought a 310

We are new to the world of Airstream and the proud owners of a 1984 310 bought a couple of weeks ago in Denver. Following an eventful trip that involved lots of missing and backfiring, an ignition coil failure, a tow truck, and a lot of delays, we have successfully relocated it to the inlaws driveway in San Diego and flown home to Hawaii to plan our next trip. The tow truck driver damaged the carrier bearing assembly on one of the driveshafts, and I will be looking for the right forum for advice on how to replace or fix it. This looks like the place to be for Airstream, thanks to all who keep it running!

Congrats on the new aquisition, was easier than trying to float it home:-)
Lots of 310 owners, should be able to get right answers. I had read somewhere shaft is supposed to be removed for towing, or at least disconnected. His insurance should take care of it, unless you let yours do it.
