Jeweler looking for airstream studio

I am new to the forum. I've learned a lot from all the postings here. Thanks everyone for all the info, it's been very helpful. I have been on my airstream search for a while now and finally know a bit more what I'm looking for. Thought posting through this site might help. I'm a jeweler and haven't had a studio for a while but am dying to get back at it. Check out my website if you want, Lerwick Designs: silver jewelry hand crafted. I'm looking for a smaller airstream in the 19ft - 20ft range. I have come to love the design of the globetrotters around the years 1963 - 65. Something around that year anyway. The interior isn't so much a concern to me as I would be doing modifications for my shop space, and I'd like to spruce it up with my own flavorings as well. I'd like the skin to be in semi good shape though. Any suggestions of where to look? I'm in Northern California. One sold up from under me recently, not fun. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Please email me if you have any leads at diana@lerwickdesigns.com
Thanks,
Diana

A friend of mine who made his living as a jeweler for over 30-years had an Airstream re-fitted as a shop by removing the twin beds and building a "shop" while he also built a mountain home in Virginia. Froze his tail in the winter, but still had it (as far as I know) when he passed away a while back.

Good luck.

- there's a back issue of Airstream Life with an article on full-timing that contains a profile of a jeweler who travels in a Minuet and works out of his tow vehicle, I think a small panel truck..

- also there's the profile of the woman in the book Airstream Living who uses her trailer as studio, if you haven't seen these already..

good luck!
