It followed us home; Can we keep it?

Hi!
We are Al and Missy from Melbourne Beach, FL. We joined late last year after deciding that we wanted an Airstream. We are both recently retired and looking forward to rallies and other glamping opportunities. Last year we decided that we wanted to get an RV and went through being excited about Class A's, SOB's but ultimately ended up wanting an Airstream. We have been following the classifieds and lamenting over the ones that got away. It turns out our Airstream was only about 8 miles from our house all along!

It's a 2001 25' Safari 70th Anniversary Edition. According to the PO, the PPO had the interior customized at Jackson Center to delete the Gaucho or dinette (don't know which it had) and added some beautiful custom storage that matches the rest of the wood nicely and two Lazy Boy recliners. We bought it from gracious local couple who are going to be unable to use it for a while. They replaced the carpet with some really nice vinyl that looks for all the world like laminate or wood flooring.

We will be gathering the necessities for a while (tow mirrors, brake controller, etc. and getting organized for some short and then gradually longer excursions. If the ride home was any indication it will tow like a dream.

Hope to see some of you on the road!

Al

Welcome to air forums. Sounds like you found the perfect Airstream for you both. Hope to see you on the road sometime.
